Zoe King - Freelance Writer/Editor
I began teaching workshops when I set up Diss Writers in 1997 or thereabouts. Since then, I’ve
taught in face to face and online situations with groups large and small. Over the years, I’ve taught
in Australia, Switzerland, Ireland, and at various venues here in the UK.
I started my own creativity project, Journeys to Voice, in March 2005, when I worked online with two
groups. Since then, I’ve taught the project face to face at many writers’ conferences and retreats,
including a day school for ACT Writers in Canberra, the QWF Conference at Glastonbury and the
SWWJ Weekend Conference at Chester.
I am as passionate about teaching as I am about writing, and I get enormous satisfaction from
knowing my students are in my classes because they want to be, not because they have to be! I
have only one rule when I’m teaching - that is, there are no rules.
