. My first editing job was on a now-defunct local paper many years ago. Since then, amongst other things, I’ve edited and published a couple of small press short story and poetry magazines, BuzzWords, and Cadenza, both sadly now gone, and until recently, I edited a small magazine for the Friends of the Hunter Fleet in Norfolk. Much of my other editing now involves me in working with writers to bring their work to publishable standard. I also critique short stories, both for beginner writers, and for published writers anxious to take their work to the next level. (I currently critique for the Society of Women Writers & Journalists.) I’m currently working with authors on two full-length book projects, but we’re hoping to find  publishers for them very soon, which will free me up to do more of my own writing.
